The Boy Scouts of Troop 11 are doing their part to help fill a need this Christmas season by filling shoe boxes for “Operation Christmas Child”.
These boxes are being collected this week and will eventually reach the hands of needy children around the world.
“Operation Christmas Child” is an effort created by Samaritan’s Purse, which is an evangelical Christian humanitarian and missions organization, providing aid to people in physical need all around the world as part of Christian missionary work.
A copy of The Gospel goes into each shoe box, along with many other gifts picked by those that stuff the box. These little boxes can change the lives of many, and the long time effort proves that there is power in a simple gift.
