The Paris Community Theatre presents the 26th Anniversary Performance of “The Songs of the Season” this Tuesday evening, December 2, 2014 at East Paris Baptist Church at 7:30 p.m.
This Christmas celebration in song will continue to spotlight the following choirs and their directors: Paris Community Theatre’s Paris Community Choir directed by Pat Fowzer; Paris High School Chorale directed by Jan Blize; and the North Lamar High School Chamber Singers directed by Rebecca Hildreth.
Selections chosen for performance include “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”, “Silver Bells”, “Medley from ‘The Polar Express”, “Let All Mortal Flesh”, and “Mary Did You Know”. The audience will again be asked to join in the traditional audience sing-a-long entitled “Christmas Praise Medley”. “The Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah will conclude this exciting evening.
Accompanists for the evening include Dottie Billman from Paris High School and Pat Fowzer from North Lamar High School. Linda Flanary and Thomas Belew play for the Paris Community Choir and will perform a four-hand piano duet to accompany one of the choral pieces.
Tickets are $8 and may be purchased at Young Title Co., East Paris Baptist Church, First Methodist Church, and Newman Towne and Country Realty
Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the night of the concert. Doors will open at 7pm. East Paris Baptist Church is located at 725 N. Collegiate Drive.
