Kids Hurt Too, a seminar designed to help parents understand their children’s needs throughout the process of a divorce, is offered Tuesday, Dec. 2, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Heartsaver First Aid CPR & AED (automated external defibrillator) class teaches basic first aid and CPR/AED procedures, including first aid skills recommended by the Occupational Safety and Health Agency, to those with a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency. The course meets Saturday, Dec. 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Nurse Aide Skills Refresher is for any student wanting to refresh their Nurse Aide skills prior to their certification test. Students must register 48 hours in advance. The class is offered Wednesday, Dec. 10, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Initial Basic Life Support class on lifesaving skills for respiratory and cardiac emergencies will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12. The American Heart Association certifies the class.
Occupational Safety & Health: Fall Protection Competent Person is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 15, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The course is designed for those working at height and their managers. Students identify hazardous conditions, develop programs and make equipment selections to properly deal with fall hazards. This course is a pass/fail program, with classroom and hands-on-training and both written and practical examinations based on the requirements of the US OSHA Regulations, ANSI Z359.2 standard and CSA.
