Gene Svoboda, 70, of Blossom passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 in Paris. He and his wife had been residents of Lamar County for the past four years. He was born on January 3, 1944 in Alliance, Ohio a son of John Svoboda & Bettie Grace Svoboda. Gene owned and operated Magnum Performance, an aircraft engine company.
Gene is survived by his wife Lynne Thomas Svoboda whom he married on December 16, 1979 in Dayton, Ohio; son, Jonas Svoboda & wife Lauren Svoboda; grandchildren J. Ryland Svoboda and Asher Svoboda; sisters Patricia Robinson, Karen Rodriquez and husband Ruben and Betsy Giries and Paul Marlboro; brother John Svoboda and wife Rita.

Linda L. Webb, 67, of Paris passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at her residence. Linda was born on April 4, 1947 in Lamar County a daughter of Jess Lewis and Doye Robison Webb. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Linda is survived by two sisters Mary Mahon and Pat Fiedler and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Billy Avery; sisters Alene Driggars and Kathy Easley; brother Don Webb and a niece Ashley Easley.
