The Paris Fire Department responded to a structure fire located at 1523 Bonham Street Tuesday night just before 10:30 P.M.
The home was heavily damaged by the fire. Fire units and investigators were on scene for approximately three hours. The house was occupied by a father and his son at the time of the fire.
The father did try and extinguish the fire that had started in a bedroom before calling the fire department. When firefighters arrived they found the main body of fire in a bedroom and were able to extinguish the fire and minimize the damage to the home.
Approximately 25% of the home was damage by fire with the remainder of the home receiving smoke and water damage. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
K-9 unit was called to the scene to assist with the investigation. Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist survivors of the fire.
