Cynthia Anne Layton, 44, of Roxton and Shelbey Brooke Layton, 22, of Paris were arrested in the 3500 block of Lamar Ave after they were reportedly observed concealing multiple pairs of shoes and leaving a store.
Employees observed the suspects approach a vehicle in the parking lot and then go into another store.
When officers made contact with the suspects, property was recovered from 5 different stores in the Paris Towne Center.
The total amount of recovered property was valued at over $750.00.
Each were charged with 4 counts of theft of property over $50 but under $500 and one count of theft under $50. Both are awaiting to be transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
