Paris Police want to wish everyone a Happy and Properous New Year.
Here are just a few reminders to keep you safe tonight.
1. Please do NOT drink and drive. If you must drink, do so responsibly. Appoint a designated driver or call a cab or get a free ride home with Dylan’s Drivers.
2. Fireworks are prohibited inside the city limit. If you are found to be in possession of fireworks, you could pay a fine of up to $500 plus court costs and the fireworks could be confiscated.
3. Do NOT discharge a firearm into the air. As the old saying goes, what goes up must come down and a bullet is just a deadly when it comes back down to Earth.
4. The weather is showing that Paris and Lamar County has a chance for some wintery mix of precipitation. Drive to arrive at your destination.
5. Violence is never the answer. Walk away or don’t go there in the first place.
