Paris Police arrested 23 year old Allon Blackmon, of Paris for Family Violence Impeding Breathing/Circulation after a patrol officer observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway in the 4000 block of Clarksville Street.
The officer made contact with Blackmon, who was seating in the driver’s seat and a female in the front passenger’s seat.
During the investigation, the officer learned that the two had been in a verbal argument and that Blackmon had choked the victim. Both subjects had injuries, but it appeared that Blackmon’s injuries where from the victim trying to defend herself.
Blackmon was later transported to the Paris Police Department without incident.
Paris Police arrested 23 year old Joshua Dawson, of Paris for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Against a Family Member and Criminal Trespass after officers responded to 826 S Main, Orleans Apartments, in reference to an assault.
Upon arrival, Officers made contact with a witness who advised that her friend had been cut with a knife. Officers later made contact with the victim and observed several abrasions and lacerations on her face and ear.
Officers were advised that while riding in a car together, she and Dawson got into a verbal argument and Dawson, who was seating in the back seat, pulled a packet knife and started trying to grab the victim, who was in the front seat. During the struggle the victim received cuts and scratches, before she was able to get out of the vehicle and run into a nearby family member’s house. No medical treatment was needed at the time.
