James Wayne Johnson, 26, of Clarksville, Texas was arrested at 11:11 A.M. on Sunday, January 4, 2014 when Paris Police officers responded to a fraud call in the 3700 block of Lamar Ave.
Officers were directed to a white male that had just attempted to pay for items with what appeared to be a counterfeit $100 bill.
The bill did not have the proper security features and the paper did not appear to be of a legal currency.
Johnson was trasnsported to the Police Department and booked without incident.
Paris Police have received at least two different complaints about counterfeit bills of differing denominations since January 1st.
The incidents are under investigation.
