During Monday’s meeting, the Lamar County Commissioners heard a complain filed with the Office of Equal Opportunity by former Veterans Service Officer Rhonda Rogers (pictured right).
The Commissioners asked the county judge, Chuck Superville to work with the county attorney and the auditor’s office on a reply to the compliant.
Also at the meeting, the Commissioners agreed to settle a dispute with Southern Folgers over the cost to repair the cell doors at the County Jail, declared the month of January “Crime Stoppers Month,” and approved an increase in the rent on the adult probation office on Main Street.
Finally, the court asked Judge Superville to work with the Paris Junior College and the City of Paris to settle a claim against Paris Warehouse 101 regarding an issue with a tax abatement job quota.
