North Lamar ISD School Board recognized the High School Marching Band during the school board meeting on Monday, January 12, 2015.
Superintendent John McCullough and the Board of Trustees presented a banner to the band congratulating them for their second place finish at the State Marching Contest at San Antonio in November.
“We would like to take this time to recognize the marching band for their wonderful entertainment at half time football games, their tireless hours of work and preparation, and demonstration of outstanding character in representing our school district during this past fall,” said Superintendent John McCullough. “Through several rounds of competition, the band advanced all the way to the finals in the State Marching Contest at San Antonio. I was lucky enough to be there, witness an incredible performance and see before a huge crowd our students honored with the silver medal in class 4A.”
