Auditions for the Paris Community Theatre’s production of “Waiting for the Parade” will be Monday, February 23rd and Tuesday, February 24th at 6:30 p.m. at the Brown Centre for the Creative Arts located at 115 Clarksville Street in downtown Paris.
The play is directed by Haley Hines and will run April 16-19, 2015. They are looking for five women of various ages.
Set in Calgary during World War II, this play, a character drama, is written by John Murrell. It serves to remind us that the wounded are not always at the front. Five women gather to work for the war effort while men they love are away.
In a series of episodic, snapshot vignettes, Murrell focuses on the women who shared a common purpose; to serve the war effort and, perhaps more importantly, to survive the war.
