VICTOR EUGENE RESSLER,92 of Paris, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the home of his son, Vic Ressler.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday March 19, 2015 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry McDowell officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ressler was the last of nine children born to Frank Y. Ressler and Anna B. Yoder Ressler in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by wives Ruth Anderson Ressler, Mary Elizabeth Ressler, and Gayle Smallwood Ressler and son William A. Ressler. He is survived by son Victor T. Ressler and wife Helen; grandchildren Jennifer Ressler, Sheldon Ressler, Jill Colatriano and husband Louie, Casey Ressler and wife Rachel, Zachary Ressler and Grant (Will) Ressler; great-grandchildren Hannah, Anderson, Alyssa, Eisley and Victoria.
He was a man of many occupations starting with his honorable service in the U.S. Navy. For many years, he owned and operated aircraft instrument shops at Love Field and Redbird Airports in Dallas. At near retirement age he became a Real Estate Broker, moved to Paris and bought Pine Mill Nursery where he also installed lawn sprinkling systems. He then became a builder and built energy efficient homes and dome homes in the area. He was the building inspector for the City of Reno, and for the last twenty years, he operated Verdome Company taking on remodeling and refurbishing homes and buildings of all kinds. He was a man of many talents.
Pall bearers will be grandsons, Sheldon, Casey, Zachary and Grant Ressler, grandson-in-law, Louie Colatriano and friend, Charles Taylor.

JOHN “BIG JOHN” FLANARY, 61, of Detroit, passed from this life on Monday March 16, 2015 at Heritage House of Paris. A memorial service in honor and celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 18, 2015 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Ellis officiating. Donald Flanary, Jr. will serve as eulogist.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his cousin, Susan Flanary Turner.
John was born September 7, 1953 in Texarkana, a son of Donald H. and Alene Hammock Flanary. He attended Paris schools. John was the owner/operator of Termi-Trol, and spent many years in the pest control business, serving thousands of families in Lamar County and northeast Texas.
John was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a faithful fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Of all that he enjoyed, the times he spent with his children were his proudest and best. His time in their presence was the light of his days.
He married Cindy Turner on August 30, 1990 in Denton.
John was preceded in death by his father, Donald H. Flanary.
Survivors include his wife Cindy; three children, Jon Carter Flanary, of Paris, Cody Joseph Flanary, of Woodland, and Caitlin Rose Flanary, of Woodland; his mother, Alene Flanary, of Paris; two brothers, Donald H. Flanary, Jr. and Ronald Keith; nieces and nephews Donald H. Flanary, III, Shannon Morris, Lauren O’Rear, Gena Rexrode, Tyler Huntsman, John-Paul Flanary, Noah Flanary, Sarah Westrop, Joshua Flanary, Nathan and Abbi Homer, and Wendy Kimbrell; aunts and uncles Bill Flanary and wife Linda and Danny and Nita Hammock.

Dale Wayne McNeal 65, of Paris, passed from this world into Heaven with Christ, Monday, March 16, 2015 at Paris Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Restland Cemetery in Roxton with Dr. Tim Reger officiating. No formal visitation hour will be observed. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Dale was born November 13, 1949 in Paris to Roy Dodd and Doris Faye Griffin McNeal. He graduated from Paris High School and East Texas State University with a BS degree in Agriculture. He was a retired agriculture consultant and salesman for ADM Corporation in Hugoton, Kansas where he lived and was married to Yvonne Pierce. Mr. McNeal was a member of Moscow Baptist Church in Hugoton.
Survivors are his son, Marcus Ryan McNeal and wife, Wendy; his mother, Doris McNeal; two brothers, Charles McNeal and wife, Brenda, all of Paris and Keith McNeal of Roxton; three grandchildren, Blake, Jacob, and Alayna McNeal; four nephews, Timothy McNeal, Brandyn McNeal, Zachery Blount, and Bradley McNeal; and a niece, Courtney McNeal. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy McNeal.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and physicians at Paris Regional Medical Center’s ICU department for their excellent care. Paris should be proud to have a medical staff as caring and dedicated as they are.
