At 6:29 P.M. on Friday, March 27, 2015, Paris Police Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1400 block of Fitzhugh Avenue.
A 45 year old female reported that 52 year old Stanley Ray Douglas had assaulted her by grabbing her by her throat with his hands and choking her and then producing a pocket knife and threatening to cut her with it.
Douglas was located at the scene and placed under arrest.
Douglas was charged with aggravated assault due to the weapon and assault on a family member due to the victim advising that they were in a dating relationship.
Douglas was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
