Grafford Aubrey Cobb, 79, of Powderly, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013, at his home.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18th, at Providence Cemetery with Jeff Blanton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cobb, the son of Robert Grafford Cobb & Bonnie B. Meeks Cobb, was born March 19, 1934, in Paris.
On April 29, 1954, he married Mincie Lee Smith, building 58 years of family and memories before her death on July 29, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his father, R. G. Cobb, his mother, Bonnie Dye, brother-in-law, Gary Cochran and father-in-law & mother-in-law, Charlie & Ruth Smith.
He was a member of the Red River Valley Quail Club Association and enjoyed training birddogs in his spare time. His career with the Paris Fire Department spanned 37 years before his retirement in 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Cobb & wife Cindy and Gerald Cobb & wife Terri all of Reno, grandchildren, Brian, Christopher, Matthew, Evan, and Clint, great-grandchildren, Taylan and Kaleb, brother, Jerry Smallwood & wife Joyce of Paris, sister, Barbara Cochran of Powderly along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Honorary casket bearers will be: Brian Cobb, Clint Cobb, Matthew Cobb, Don Ensey, Art Scharlach, Danny Wisely, Gary Cook and Troy Gordon.

James Allan Johnson, 70, of Paris, died at 1:12 AM, Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. A celebration of his life is set for 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Oak Park United Methodist Church with Rev. Judi Brandt officiating. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
James was born September 20, 1942 in Wamego, Kansas to Johnie Burton and Alma Alberta Salzer Johnson. He graduated from Wamego High School and attended both Kansas State University and Kansas State Teachers College. James served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era. He was a computer programmer and analyst and wrote the first voter registration program for Tarrant County. He married Linda Gay Brown on December 3, 1966 in Topeka, Kansas. He attended Oak Park United Methodist Church.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Linda Johnson of Paris; his son, Jeremy Allan Johnson of Paris; siblings, Janie Edwards and husband, Ed of Kansas City, Kansas, Don Johnson and wife, Donna of Wamego, Kansas, and Jodi Niehoff and husband, Chad of Lawrence, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; and nine foreign exchange students from Germany, Finland, Russia, and Brazil. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard Johnson and Fred Johnson.

Billy Fred Daniel, 79, of the Atlas-Ambia Community passed away Sunday September 15, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in the Atlas-Ambia Community a son of Everett William and Betty Freeman Daniel. He married Minnie Faye Spencer on May 31, 1960 in Paris.
He was a talented and skilled carpenter for over 40 years. Billy Fred was an avid hunter and fisherman, had a green thumb in gardening, and loved watching the Texas Rangers. He loved playing baseball in high school and with the Atlas County League “Mud Cats” and especially enjoyed visiting and spending time with school friend and team mate E.C. Hancock and reliving earlier years in school and usually the conversation turned to baseball. He was a great harmonica player and enjoyed playing with family and friends. He was a member of the Atlas Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. Most people who knew him will remember he was a hard worker and was dedicated to taking care of his family.
He is survived by his wife Minnie Faye Spencer Daniel; children Donald Daniel and wife Brenda, Ronald Daniel and wife Brenda, Jimmy Daniel and wife Anita and Cindy Daniel-Briscoe and husband Daylon; 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; sister Dorothy Daniel of Paris and a niece Virginia Miller of Paris. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and his special beagle Missy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgia Cemetery with Marty Anderson, Hunter Daniel, Steven Daniel, Austin Sims, Jeff Spencer, Ronnie Spencer, Bobby Allen, and Steve Birdsong serving as pallbearers.
