Joe Doran Hutchison, 75, of Paris passed away Thursday October 17, 2013 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 20 at the Cowboy Church in the Red River Valley Bible Camp with Wade White, Duane Hamil and Mark Hutchison officiating. Cremation arrangements were made by Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
He was born in Paris, Tx, November 18, 1937 a son of William (Bill) Alexander and Doris Warner Hutchison. He married Martha Gillie on December 9, 1961 in Paris at Providence Baptist Church. He served his country proudly in the Marine Corps. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. after 28 years of service. After retirement he bought and operated the Elk Hollow Golf Course. He was a proud member of the Elk’s Club and the No. 1 hamburger cooker for the telephone pioneers.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Martha; a son Joel Hutchison and wife Natalie; grandchildren, Doran Lee Hutchison and Benjamin Alexander Hutchison; sisters Helen Jean Thompson and Sue Lynch and numerous nieces and nephews.
