Joe Carl Mathis 55, of Paris, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Legend Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, May 15, 2015 at the Elks Lodge. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the cremation arrangements.
Joe was born to J.R. and Nadine Brisban Mathis in Paris on September 21, 1959 and he attended Paris schools. He was a truck driver his whole life and loved working on his trucks and cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Barbara; his three children, Kathy, Larry, and Jessica Mathis; many grandchildren whom he loved dearly; and many nieces and nephews.
