Altercation Sends one to the Emergency Room

An altercation in the 1800 block of Belmont led to one person seeking medical treatment for lacerations at PRMC Emergency Room.

At 9:36 P.M.on June 4th, it was reported that an 18 year old male had lacerations to his face, arm, and abdomen. The 18 year old male advised that he had been in an altercation with a 23 year old man in front of his mother’s house when he confronted the 23 year old male about assaulting his sister.

The 18 year old admitted to officers that he began assaulting the 23 year old while the 23 year old was inside a vehicle. During the assault, the 18 year old noticed that he was bleeding profusely and found that he had been cut several times.

The 23 year old left the scene and the 18 year old was transported to the emergency room for treatment. The 18 year old was treated and released.

The incident is under investigation.  Names of the two persons involved has not been released.
