Audy Kevin Tankersley, 61, of Blossom was arrested in Plano on Thursday.
On Tuesday Tankersley caused two separate accidents, minutes apart, on US Highway 82. A warrant was issued for the first accident when Tankersley, coming out of the Sun Valley Liquor Store parking lot, hit a car and failed to stop.
Minutes later he was involved in the second accident on HIghway 82, which killed 40 year old Mendy Williams.
Alcohol is suspected to be involved but results of blood tests on Tankersley have not yet been released.
