Three felony arrests were made in the past 24 hours.
36 year old Casey Dajuan Sanders, of Paris, was arrested after he was stopped in the 2000 block of Stillhouse Rd at 11:37 A.M. on Tuesday, June 16, 20145 for a traffic violation. Officers were advised that Sanders had an outstanding warrant out of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance of more than one gram.
34 year old Ashley Renee Smith, of Paris, was also arrested in the 200 block of NE 5th St at 9:35 A.M. on June 16, 2015 when officers observed her walking along the street while investigating another incident. She was arrested on a warrant charging her with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance of less than one gram.
The third felony arrest was 26 year old Jerry Duel Smith at 2:09 A.M. on June 17, 2015. Jerry was observed sitting on a front porch in the 200 block of NE 13th St. Officers knew Jerry on sight and knew that he had outstanding warrants. Jerry was arrested on a parole violation warrant and two Lamar County warrants charging him with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful delivery of a simulated controlled substance. Jerry was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
