Officers responded to a report theft in the 10 block of Clarksville Street yesterday around noon. A subject was looking at two jewelry bracelets at the Carriage House (pictured) when he apparently returned one and kept the other and left the store.
As of yesterday, the suspect had not been identified. Surveillance video is not available at this time but will be made public when it is.
The suspect was described as a male, black, 50-60 years old, 6’1 300 wearing a blue button up shirt and blue cargo style pants with no facial hair and a short haircut.
The vehicle being used by the suspect was a light green Chrysler 200. A tag number was provided by the victim which was not correct for the make of vehicle. Later, an employee at a pawn shop reported the same suspect had been in their store recently. The same vehicle description was provided and an Illinois license plate number was given. That plate also did not return to this type of vehicle.
The bracelet was reported valued at a little over $3000.00
