easton001Jesse H. Easton 82, of Paris, left his earthly family to be reunited with the love of his life, Coy Easton, on Friday, July 10, 2015. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Funeral services are set for 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 13, 2015 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Bro. Tom O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Jesse was born December 19, 1932 in Reno, Texas to Jesse Haden and Nevada Ellen Proffitt Easton. He graduated from Blossom schools and served his country in the United States Army from June 1953 to May 1955. He married Ella “Coy” Smith on November 10, 1955. They were married for 56 wonderful years before her passing on October 21, 2011.

Mr. Easton was retired from Campbell Soup Company after 33 years of loyalty. He was a faithful servant of God and a longtime member of Bonham Street Church of Christ. He raised his children in a Christian home and never faltered from his beliefs and values. Jesse loved to be outdoors. In 1964 he bought 88 acres of brush land and turned it into a beautiful, manicured piece of land known to his family as “The Farm”. He cleared the land with little more than an axe and his strong determination. The land is a little piece of heaven and a gift to his children and grandchildren. Jesse also enjoyed tending to his cattle. He drove “Old Blue”, his 1967 Chevy, to the farm every day for over 50 years.

Mr. Easton is survived by his three children, Chris Easton and wife, Linda, Michelle Easton, and Russell Easton and wife, Ann; six grandchildren, Chadley Easton and wife, Carla, Jeffrey Easton and wife, JoAnna, Kyle Easton and wife, Stephanie, Meagan Earthman and husband, Michael, and Alexandra Jenkins; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Maggie Lee Risinger and June Burdine and husband, Jerry; many nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold “Bill” Easton; and one sister, Carlene Chennault. Pallbearers will be Chadley Easton, Jeffrey Easton, Kyle Easton, Michael Earthman, Danny Smith, and Jeremy Smith. Honorary Pallbearers are his nephew, Kenneth Risinger, and all of his buddies from the Power Plant at Campbell Soup. The family requests that memorials be made in his honor to Bonham Street Church of Christ. S

pecial thanks to Sara Faber and Nita Goforth who lovingly cared for our father and us. We would also like to thank Cima Hospice staff, especially April Wilson. Jesse will be forever loved and forever missed by all of his family and friends.
