An officer with the Paris Police Department was patrolling in the 500 block of SE 20th St when he observed what he believed to be a disturbance. The officer observed a white male choking a black female. When the officer stopped and confronted the subjects, it was reported that the male subject was in fact choking her and would not let her leave from the scene. Officers arrested 27 year old David Allen Bradley, of Paris. Bradley was charged with assault of a family member by impedeing breathing when it was reported that he and the victim had been in a relationship. Bradley was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police responded to a one car motor vehicle accident in the 4200 block of Pine Mill Rd at 10:26 P.M. on July 10, 2015. It was reported by the 25 year old driver that she was eastbound on Pine Mill Rd when her cell phone rang. As she attempted to answer the phone, the 2015 Nissan Armada left the roadway just past 42nd street and landed in a deep culvert. The vehicle then rolled over onto its side. The driver did sustain non-life threatening injuries but refused medical treatment.
Paris Police responded to 297 calls for service and arrested 18 persons over the past 72 hour weekend ending at midnight on July 12, 2015.
