Shirley Ann Colwell 69, of the Novice Community, died at 8:45 PM, Monday, July 27, 2015 at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Paris. A graveside service is set for 10:00 AM, Friday, July 31, 2015 at Long Cemetery with James McLeod officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 PM, Thursday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Shirley was born November 26, 1945 in Monkstown to Troy and Mildred Wallace Smith. She graduated from Powderly High School and attended TWU and received her associates degree from Paris Junior College. Shirley married Garry Dean Colwell on July 22, 1966 in Denton, Texas. She attended the Chism Trail Cowboy Church and was a retired home health nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Garry Colwell of Novice; two sons, Michael Colwell of Phoenix, Arizona and Jeffery Colwell and wife, Amy of Royse City, Texas; two grandchildren, Connor and Madison Colwell of Royse City; three brothers, C.L. Smith and wife, Faybress of Powderly, Ron Smith and wife, Carolyn of Longview, Texas, and David Smith of Austin, Texas; and one sister, Dorothy Melton and husband, Billy of Powderly. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Patti Dodds.

Regenia Satcher Kourakos, 67, of Paris, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, following an automobile accident in Fannin County.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 31st, at Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. Mike Lawson officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Regenia, the daughter of Randolph “Randy” & Ruby Nell Hill Satcher, was born Feb. 9, 1948, in Honey Grove.
She graduated from Paris High School. Her career at Hollywood Vasarette spanned a number of years before she began working as a caregiver. She was still working at the time of her death.
Her husband, Don Kourakos, preceded her in death as did her daughter, Stacy Pasquill.
Survivors include a son, Todd Kourakos & wife Janett of Paris, grandchildren, Regan Maberry & husband Cade, Eric Benitez, Junior Benitez and Gigi Benitez, great grandchildren, Braylan Maberry and Maddox Maberry, two sisters, Anita Anderson of TN and Lurann Cox & husband George of Gainesville, several nieces & nephews along with a plethora of friends.
