Timothy Daniel Bowman, 57, son of Thomas and Juanita Bowman, suddenly passed from this Earth on August 26, 2015 in Plano Texas. He was born on May 5, 1958 in Paris Texas and was immediately the center of attention. He basked in being the Center and his Maternal Grandmother named him Precious One on that day, and called him that until her death.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at Bright-Holland Funeral Home and will be at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Bowman, 215 NE 32nd St., Paris, Texas at other times. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29th, at the funeral home chapel.
Tim is survived by his parents, a daughter, Keri and two grandchildren Ryan and Jett Cotton, Two sisters, Melanie Bowman Kolbye and Husband Jack Kolbye, Kacy Bowman Flanagan and husband Johnny Flanagan, along with a niece Rylee Flanagan that he adored. Tim was very loving and generous to his parents as well as Rylee and he referred to her as Little Tootie.
He is also survived by his roommate of over ten years, Kay Bryan Thurman, along with many friends from around the Nation. Tim had the Gift of Gab and could tell you about each and every person he came in contact with through the aviation industry, motorcycle riding, as well as music, particularly Blues. He was an avid guitar player, a natural musician and love to perform.
Tim worked at Baker Aviation as Director of Quality Assurance. He was a skilled aviation manager with more than 30 years of industry experience. He began his career working for the Department of Defense in Oklahoma City at Tinker Air Force base as a civilian aircraft mechanic. Working his way up to supervising and managing maintenance teams, Tim excelled with conformity responsibilities with companies like AMR Combs/Jet Solutions, Raytheon Aircraft Charter and Management, and later with Sentient Jet where he was National Director of Operations and Maintenance. He had knowledge of conformity inspections and maintaining continuous airworthiness and operational control under FAA law. Most recently Tim was Director of Quality Assurance for Southwest Airframe and Tank Services.
