JAMES BALLARD “J.B.” HUTCHISON, JR. 75, of Paris died at 11:15 AM, Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Dubuis Hospital. A graveside service is set for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. Jay Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:30 PM at the funeral home prior to the graveside service. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
J.B. was born May 26, 1938 in Clarksville, Texas to James Ballard Hutchison, Sr. and Mary Cleve Jamison Hutchison. He graduated from Clarksville High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 1961. Mr. Hutchison retired as director of maintenance from the Texas Highway Department. He married Harolyn Bowden in Clarksville on December 31, 1970. He was a member of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ and the Professional Engineers Society.
Mr. Hutchison is survived by his wife, Harolyn Hutchison; three children, James “Sonny” Hutchison III, Angela Hutchison Gain and husband Jeff, and Kathy Dillen; five grandchildren, Jansen Gain and wife Amber, Casey Gain, Justin Hutchison, Mary Hutchison, and Skylar Dillen; two great-grandchildren, Avery Gain and David Gain; one brother, Bill Hutchison and wife Marie; and one sister, Mary Ann Fluth and husband John. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Karlee Gain.
