Womack0001Dorothy H. “Dottie” Womack, 90, of Conroe, formerly of Paris, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11th, at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Jim Semple officiating. A formal visitation is not scheduled, but friends may pay respects at the funeral home until noon on Friday.

Mrs. Womack, the daughter of Eddie O. & Nancy Vera Bussell Harrison, was born March 16, 1925, in Paris.

In July 1957, she married James C. Womack building 43 years of memories before his death on March 2, 2001.

From 1955-1957 she worked as Food Accountant for Lamar Hotel in Houston. Dottie worked at Atomic Energy in Las Vegas, NV from 1959-1963 and as Food Accountant for the Freemont Hotel in Las Vegas from 1963-1965. She and James moved to Paris in 1975. They were members of First Baptist Church of Paris.

Survivors include two sisters, Nancy Caldwell of Conroe and Sarah Luck of Ennis along with several nieces & nephews.

Connie TreadwayMaida Charlene “Connie” Shepard Blackshear Tredway, 83, of Tigertown, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9th at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Blackshear & Rev. Harvey Blackshear officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tredway, the daughter of Morris Leroy & Emma Elizabeth Shepard, was born Sept. 22, 1931, in the Forest Hill Community.

Connie had owned and operated Little Rascals Daycare in Paris and a grocery store in Sumner. She was a member of the Cottonwood Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Leroy Shepard, her mother, Emma Elizabeth Horton, her husband, Lloyd Tredway, a brother, Ollie Mervin Shepard and a sister, Helen Elizabeth Hill.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Blackshear Evans of Tigertown, two granddaughters, Karolyn Kyle & husband Pat of Crockett and Kim Allison & husband Cody of San Angelo, six great grandchildren, Justin Glaspie & wife Heather, James Glaspie, Ashley Garcia & husband Greg, Mary Chreene & husband Cody, Caleb Allison and Abigail Allison, seven great great grandchildren, Jackson Glaspie, Jesse Glaspie, Savannah Gomez, Abel De La O, Zeke Garcia, Brylie Chreene and Madilyn Chreene along with many nieces & nephews and a host of friends.

Casket bearers will be: Rorry Cunningham, W. H. Brumley, Justin Glaspie, James Glaspie, Pat Kyle and Mike Head. Honorary bearers will be: Phillip Blackshear and Eddie Thompson.
