Eight students and three academic coaches attend the training conference during which they had the opportunity to attend sessions conducted by the state directors of the 24 academic contests offered by UIL. The training sessions allow attendees the unique opportunity to get information and ask questions of the people who structure the contests. High school students from all over Texas will be competing at the district, regional, and state levels in the spring.
North Lamar academic coaches and students have attended the UIL Student Activities Conference for over three decades and have found them to be one of the significant keys to success in the spring district competition.
