wilma hollomanWilma A. Holloman “Our Mom”, “Mamaw”, and Aunt Wilma was born on September 7, 1927 to Elmer Leroy and Ollie Olera Holloman in Paris, TX. The Lord brought to Heaven our beloved Mother on September 15, 2015 at the age of 88. Wilma passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Wilma grew up in Paris, TX; graduated from Blossom High School and married Harvey D. Logsdon Sr. She worked for J.C. Penney in Paris and began her family in 1947.

She moved from Paris to Temple, TX and settled in the Dallas, TX in 1959. She was employed by Texas Instruments in 1969 as a Senior Accounting Specialist and received numerous awards for her hard work and dedication. She was described as “A Leader by setting the Standard”.

In addition to her full time position at TI she also held numerous part time jobs and after 20 years, retired in 1989. She relocated to her home town of Paris, TX and took care of her Mother Ollie Holloman until her death in 1995.

She later moved to Granbury, TX for several years, then back to the Dallas, TX area before settling in McKinney, TX where she resided until her death.

Wilma liked gardening, fishing and shopping but most of all she loved being with her family and was always ready to go. She celebrated her 88th birthday on September 5th with family and friends. She was admired by all her children and was a very strong woman. No matter what, she was always there for her children and was happy her children were there for her until the end of life. We will be together again, may God keep and bless her soul.

She will be greatly missed by all as she joins her, Father, Elmer Leroy Holloman Sr; Mother, Ollie Olera Holloman; Brother, Leroy Holloman; Brother, Winfred Holloman and Sister, Cecilia Howard in their heavenly home.

Wilma leaves behind her devoted children; daughter, Cheryl Ann Fulgham; daughter, Kathy Lee Ringer; daughter, Gilda Jean Stephens and husband T.J. ; Son, Harvey D. Logsdon, Jr and wife Sharon and daughter, Pamela D. Rohus and husband Paul. Fourteen loving grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends, brother-in-law, Marshall Howard; sister-in-law, Dorothy Holloman.

The family would like to thank the team at Belterra Health & Rehab and the VNA Hospice team in McKinney for all their care and support. Memorial services will be held at 12:30 PM Friday, September 18, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home in the Wildwood Chapel with Reverend, Jamye Cook officiating.
