In response to the robust growth at the Lamar Avenue/Collegiate Drive Branch of Peoples Bank, the management announced today that as of January 4, 2016 all Peoples Bank downtown Lobby Operations will transition to the Lamar/Collegiate Branch.
Ronald Abbot, Peoples Bank Chairman and CEO said, “The decision to now Launch Phase III of the Branch expansion reflects our thorough assessment of customer needs and community growth.”
He continues, “with this merger of lobby teams, our customers will continue to receive the same friendly and knowledgeable customer service that is Peoples Bank trademark, as well as benefit from greater access to the additional resources they need.”
Phase I was the renovation of the existing Lamar/Collegiate Branch; Phase II is the current build-out of the new safe deposit box vaulted (to be completed November 2015).
Phase III is the transition of all downtown lobby functions to the Lamar/Collegiate Branch, which will involve approximately ten team members.
The downtown location will remain the Peoples Bank headquarters.
