The Paris High School production of High School Musical opens December 4th at 7:30 p.m. (with additional 2:30 p.m. showings on Dec. 5 and Dec. 6) in the Weger Auditorium at Paris Junior High School.
The PHS Theatre Department is currently looking for patrons. Anyone who donates to the musical will be listed as a contributor in the program for not just this show but their next three shows. Donations will help with the cost of: set materials, lights, sound system updates, advertising, special effects, stage music, and lots of paint!
Patrons are parents, teachers, community members and businesses that desire to show their support for the arts. Patronship lets students know we care about their involvement in the arts, and it says to the community that as a culture we cherish all the benefits that the arts provide our children. High School Musical is a musical adaptation of the hit Disney movie about breaking free of stereotypes. New girl Gabriella meets high school jock Troy Bolton on vacation and both are surprised when they realize they both love to sing. Back at school, their friends attempt to keep them firmly within the social status quo. This upbeat show tackles issues of popularity, first love, balancing academics and activities and the value of friends and family.
Tickets to any of the performances are $5 for youth and $10 for adults.
