Narcotic Search Warrant Results in Arrest of Woman

Brandy GoodwinOn October 16, 2015 narcotic officers from the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office and the Paris Police Department concluded a several week methamphetamine trafficking investigation.

A search warrant was executed at a residence located in the 5300 block of Lamar Ave in Reno, Texas by Sheriff Deputies, and Officers from the Paris Police Department and Reno Police Department.

During the search, Officers reportedly located several grams of a crystal like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, along with digital scales, empty baggies, and a loaded .380 handgun.

Both subjects that reside at the residence are convicted felons stemming from convictions out of Lamar County.

Brandy Elizabeth Goodwin (pictured) a 30 year old female was present when the officers arrived. Goodwin was arrested for MAN/DEL CS PG1>=1G<4G and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

According to Lamar County Sheriff Scott Cass, “this is good investigative work by the Narcotics Divisions working together getting another distribution location out of our County and further stopping the sale and spread of methamphetamine in our streets and in our communities. Further charges are expected out of this investigation.”

Goodwin was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Gene Hobbs and remains in the Lamar County Jail on $30,000.00 bonds.
