Ena Scott Obit PhotoENA BELLE SCOTT, 80, left this world to be with her Lord Jesus on Thursday October 15, 2015, from her residence. Following a private service at Starrett Funeral Home, she was laid to rest in a private ceremony at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, near her precious mother.

Ms. Scott was a longtime resident of Corpus Christi, where she was president of the Student Council of her high school for three years. She later moved to Dallas, then to the Lamar Point community in Lamar County.

The only daughter of Eunice Velma Blair Scott and Tommy Haskel Scott, she worked as a secretary for her father’s produce company in Corpus Christi for over fifteen years, then started a career in the executive offices of the Slumber J Oil Company in Dallas. Possessing a strong, independent spirit, she opened her own business, Scott Produce in Dallas, where she was owner/operator for over twenty years.

She was a faithful and loving daughter to her parents, who taught her an amazing work ethic. She lovingly instilled these values in the hearts of her beloved grandson Scott and her cherished granddaughter Kimberly. Her granddaughters Sande and Jessica were her heart.

Mrs. Scott was a single parent, yet found time to teach Sunday School in Ft. Worth, bringing up her daughters to know and trust her Lord, in whose presence she now stands.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by brothers Tommy G. Scott, Wayne Scott; by her beloved daughter Lethia Diane Jones; a granddaughter, Kimberly Lorraine Vann Buck; and the love of her life, “Daddy Dear” Ron Crosley.

Those left behind to mourn and miss her sweet presence are her daughter and best friend, Patti L. Grider; a grandson, William Scott Vann and wife Rebecca; granddaughters Jessica Barksdale and husband Aaron, Sande Vann, and Amanda Vann; great-grandchildren Jerry Wayne Vann, Corbin Latham, Heather Colllins, Neeca Vann, Johnathan Lindy Hults, Cierra Buck, Cameron Collins, Andrew Vann, Willow Clayton, Skylor Barksdale, Christian Emms, River Smith, and Aubrie Belle Barksdale; and a son-in-law Freddie Jones.

G.G. will be forever loved, but missed only for a short time before that great reunion in Heaven.
