Paris Police officers responded to burglary at the ATM at Capital One Bank in the 2800 block of Lamar Avenue at 3:30 P.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2015.
The bank representative advised that he came to the ATM to check on the alarm that had been going off. He said that he found the door to the ATM building open and observed where someone had attempted to get into the safe.
The contents of the safe had not been compromised.
The representative advised that his office had received calls of alarms at the ATM during the past night but had dismissed them due to maintenance work that had been performed and believed that the alarms were malfunctions.
At 3:51 A.M. on Friday, November 6, 2015, Paris Police responded to another alarm at the same location. Officers observed that the door to the ATM building had been kicked open. Nothing has been reported as missing at this time.
The incidents are under investigation.
