
Paris Police responded to the 100 block of E Center St at 4:18 A.M. on November 10, 2015 in reference to a possible intoxicated person. Officers located Santavious Deontre Gray, 20, of Paris, in a vehicle that was stuck in a ditch. When officers made contact with Gray, they observed a silver pistol wedged between the drivers seat and the center console. The pistol was found to have been reported stolen to the Dallas Police Department. Gray was arrested and charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon and upon investorying the vehicle, a small amount of marijuana was located in the passenger seat. Gray was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
At 7:42 A.M. on November 10, 2015, Paris Police responded to a hit and run accident in the 2900 block of Church St. It was reported that the driver of a 2012 orange Freightliner truck tractor was asleep in the vehicle when he was awakened by the truck shaking violently. The driver observed a maroon truck tractor pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with pipe leaving the scene. The driver of the struck vehicle state that he had observed the run vehicle parked beside him before going to sleep. Officers have been unable to locate the run vehicle. No estimate of the damages have been reported. The incident is under investigation.
A 2005 dark blue and black Jeep Wrangler was taken from a parking lot in the 300 block of N Collegiate sometime between 7:55 A.M. and 11:30 A.M. on November 10, 2015. The owner stated that he left the vehicle on the parking lot with the keys in the floorboard because his father was going to retrieve the vehicle. When he discovered that the vehicle was no longer where he left it, he contacted his father and was advised that his father had not taken possession of it. The incident is under investigation.
