Market Square Vendors announce its participation in the sixth annual Small Business Saturday on November 28th.
Shop Small in the Market Square and in downtown Paris from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and be registered for a chance to win a Yeti Cooler . Drawing to be held at 6:00 p.m.
Understanding the important contributions small businesses make to their communities, Paris Main Street is pleased to announce the participation of local vendors at the Farmers Market who sell food and special artisan gifts. On Saturday, November 28th from 11: 00 a.m. to 5:oo p.m. the Farmers Market, located at 400 1st SW will be open and feature vendors who make special gift baskets, pottery, honey, wood working crafts, soaps, jewelry and also those who grow winter vegetables.
Partnering with the Paris Main Street Neighborhood Champion program, all shoppers who visit the Farmers Market will have a chance to register for a drawing for Yeti Cooler valued at $350 to be given away at the JJ Culbertson Fountain, downtown Paris at 6:00 p.m. on that day. Cheri Bedford, Paris Main Street Farmers Market Manager says, “This is a first time for the Farmers Market to participate in Small Business Saturday, but hope it builds into a tradition. There are a lot of artist in this community, and we are looking forward to seeing idea to showcase the Artisan Market grow into something big. Everyone is encouraged to come downtown on Saturday and see all the stores. Walk down the side streets, check out all the businesses and you might be the lucky winner of a Yeti Cooler. Small Business Saturday was created by American Express in 2010 in response to small business owners’ most pressing need: more customers.
About the Paris Main Street Program. The program is a branch of the Community Development of the City of Paris. The goal is to support historic downtown revitalization in the context of historic preservation. A seven member board and several volunteer committees work diligently to support downtown businesses and community awareness of the importance of historic preservation.
