Ariana Elise Holt, infant daughter of Levi and Amanda Holt of Sumner, Texas passed peacefully into the arms of Her Lord, Jesus Christ, Thursday, May 22, 2014.

“I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.” Jeremiah 31:3

A Poem for Ariana

On mortal earth we pause to honor,

Your priceless life passed to life eternal.

We humbly accept Christ’s will this day.

His choice to personally teach you His Way.

What a contented child you must be,

To be so loved and chosen of the Lord!

Your absence leaves a painful void—a blank.

Tho’ happy in Jesus you are, O saint.

Your first sight was that of Christ.

Your first smiles reflect His glory.

Your first giggles join the throng,

Of angelic, joyful song.

While weeping expresses our depth of loss,

Christ has overcome death on the cross.

We will rise to meet you exalted one day,

To embrace you with arms no longer clay.

Now we rest you in the Master’s Hands,

To be lovingly cradled by our King.

A Crown of Life adorns your tiny head.

You’ll play with Angels. On gold you’ll tread.

Though your life was formed in secret,

Your presence cannot be replaced.

Never to be forgotten, my precious niece,

Our Princess of Heaven—Miss Ariana Elise.
