President Carl T. Cecil has announced seven promotions at Liberty National Bank that were approved by the Board of Directors on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.
“I am proud to announce these promotions. These are all loyal employees with many years of knowledge and customer service experience. I look forward to working with them for many years to come,” stated Cecil about the recent promotions.
William Coleman is now the Executive Vice President and Compliance Officer. Jana Copeland is Senior Vice President and Cashier. Russell Figgins and David Thrasher were both named Vice President. Cindy Ringwald was named an Assistant Vice President. Courtney Barham-Wiles is now an Operations Management Trainee. Tina Weddle will be returning as a Loan Secretary at the main bank, from back office Loan Operations.
Coleman joined Liberty as a Vice President and a loan officer in 1997 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2012. He has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Compliance Officer, as well as being a loan officer.
Copeland began her career at Liberty in 1985 as the banks first internal auditor. In 2000, she became a Vice President and moved from auditing to managing bank operations. In 2013, she was promoted to Cashier. She now serves as the Senior Vice President and Cashier.
Figgins began his Liberty career when the bank purchased Guaranty Federal Bank. He served as the Assistant Manager of Guaranty Federal during the bank purchase in 2000. In 2002, he became Assistant Cashier and was later transferred to the main bank as a loan officer. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2008. He now serves as a Vice President and loan officer downtown.
Thrasher joined Liberty in 2008 as the first and only loan officer at the Collegiate branch. He was named an Assistant Cashier in 2009 and Assistant Vice President in 2011. He has been promoted to Vice President, and still serves as the only loan officer at the Collegiate branch.
Ringwald was hired in 1979 as a temporary loan analysis clerk. She later transferred to the loan department where she worked as a note teller and loan secretary. She oversees employee benefits, handles the bank’s investment entries and assists in Bank Secrecy monitoring, as well as acting as secretary to the chairman of the board. In 2005, she was elected as an Assistant Cashier and in January 2016 she became an Assistant Vice President.
Wiles was hired in 2011, as a teller at the Collegiate branch. In 2013, she transferred to the loan department to work as a loan secretary. In January of this year, she accepted the Operations Management Trainee position and serves on the marketing committee.
Weddle was hired in 1994 in the bookkeeping department. Over the years she has worked as a loan teller, loan utility, loan secretary and real estate processor. In 2013, she accepted the position as loan support. She will now serve as a loan secretary and real estate processor downtown.
