The Paris City Council will meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016. The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held at the City Council Chamber, located at 107 E. Kaufman Street, in downtown Paris.
Items on the Regular Agenda include:
- Receive update from the city manager on the status of Paris Warehouse 107 Tax Abatement, discuss and possibly take action.
- Receive public input, discuss and act on a Resolution in support of LW Development, LLC’s Application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), and the proposed development of Saddlebrooke Estates located at 4660 Pine Mill Road; and approving LW Development, LLC’s request for a de minimis contribution for development of Saddlebrooke Estates (A motion to remove this item from the table is required before deliberating.)
- Receive public input, discuss and act on a Resolution in support of GS Paris Family, LP’s Application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), and the proposed development of a new apartment complex located at 4800 Lamar Avenue; and approving State Street Housing, LP’s request for a de minimis contribution for development of a new apartment complex.
- Receive presentation from United Way regarding a fixed-route transit system in Paris.
- Approve a Professional Services Agreement with Garver USA to provide the professional engineering services for conceptual design of the City’s wastewater treatment facility rehabilitation.
- Discuss revisions to the animal control ordinance and provide direction to staff.Discuss disannexation requests received from 36th N.E. Street and FM 79 property owners
- Discuss and act on a lighting policy for the Plaza.
- Receive status report from the police chief about activities in the police department.
- Consider and approve future events for City Council and/ or City Staff
