Paris Police officers responded to a fight in progress at 8:41 P.M. on Sunday, January 24, 2016 in the 1100 block of E Tudor Street.
Officers located two men fighting in the yard at 1134 Tudor Street.
Upon separating the two men, 39 year old Robert Corey Gass, (pictured) of Powderly, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a federal probation warrant.
It was reported that Gass had allegedly hit the 32 year old victim in the head several times with an aluminum baseball bat.
Witnesses state that the fight started inside the residence and wound up outside in the front yard. It is unknown what started the fight between the two men.
The victim was taken to Paris Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Gass was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
