36 year old Weston Triplett, of Paris, was arrested at 11:38 P.M. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 and charged with evading arrest.
Officer Widner of the Paris Police Department observed a Harley-Davidson motorcycle travelling eastbound at 75 mph in the 3100 block of Lamar Avenue.
When officer Widner attempted to stop the motorcycle, the operator of the motorcycle reportedly accelerated and fled east to Blossom.
The report states that speeds allegedly exceeded 100 mph before going north on FM 196. The motorcycle stopped at the intersection of FM 196 at 195. The operator was identified as Triplett.
Triplett was charged with evading arrest detention and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
