Students and faculty traveled back in time at North Lamar High School as the Sophomore Pre AP World History classes presented their Medieval and Renaissance Fair in the auxiliary gym.
Visitors to the fair were treated to food and drink as the students dressed in period costume presented projects they researched and developed as part of their honors requirements.
Students were asked to choose topics from Medieval and Renaissance Europe, the period between 500 and 1600 AD. The fair featured working scale model siege equipment, including a ballista and trebuchet; medieval physicians battling the bubonic plague; and bouts of sword fighting.
Approximately 200 students with their teachers attended the popular annual event.
