Week two of the High School Football season is behind us. Here is a quick glance at the scores. Recaps for games will be posted as they become available.
North Lamar 35 Whitesboro 27
North Lamar used a strong running game to defeat the Bearcats at R.L. Maddox stadium. The Panthers had 401 yards on the ground. North Lamar is 2-0 to start the season. Read the recap “HERE“.
Prairiland 14 Queen City 12
Playing in Queen City, the Patriots were down most of the game. However, a late rally gave them the victory. The Patriots are 1-1 to start the season.
Paris High 31 Melissa 10
Homecoming game for Paris proved triumphant as the Wildcats are able to avenge last years’ 43-13 loss to the Cardinals. Quez Allen scored three touchdowns and the defense intercepted three Melissa passes. The victory puts Paris at 2-0.
Whiteright 49 Chisum 48
Chisum got the ball to the two yard line to try and take the lead. However, the clock ran out before the Mustangs could try to win the game. Chisum took the lead after an interception return for a touchdown with 4:47 left. Whiteright was able to take the lead, though, and hold on for the win. Chisum is now 1-1 this year.
