A routine stop of a pedestrian walking in the road on Friday, September 5th ended with an arrest for several controlled substances.
Dana Carmichael, 33, of Paris was walking in the road when sidewalks were available when he was stopped by a Paris Officer.
He was holding a small plastic bag commonly used for the packaging of illegal drugs.
During the interview, Carmichael was asked if he had any weapons on his person. He put his hands in his pants pockets and turned them inside out at which time several pills allegedly fell out.
The pills were identified as dangerous drugs and further searching found methamphetamine and a used syringe.
He was charged with felony possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
