The annual Red River Valley Fair opens on Tuesday, September 23rd and runs through Saturday, September 27th.
The carnival rides are open daily from 6pm-11pm Tues-Thurs. and from 6pm-midnight on Friday. On Saturday, the carnival will be open from 11am- midnight.
The fair features a home and garden showcase, a creative arts and crafts showcase, a chilli cook-off, a little britches rodeo and talent show, a pedal power tractor pull, a pecan pie contest, livestock exhibits, as well as other exhibits and food concessions.
There will be live music nightly including Wade White & the Plain Label Band, Gene Watson & the Farewell Party Band, the Bois’ Arc Bottom Boys, Krissy Green, the Ace Deuce Band, gospel music and the Paris Idol singing competition.
Admission to the fair is $5 for adults and children over six, children six and under are free. On just Saturday, from 11am-4pm, adults and children over six are $3 and seniors, age 60 and over are free.
Arm bands for the Carnival rides are $18 Tuesday-Thursday evenings; $20 on Friday and $15 on Saturday from 11am-4pm and $20 on Saturday after 5pm.
A parking fee of $1 per car will be charged with the proceeds benefitting local youth groups and boy scout troops.
