Mary Marie Byrd, 84, of Deport, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at her home.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Barney Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Byrd, the daughter of Frank Artie & Vera Alma Sims Dowling, was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Cyril, OK.
On Feb. 21, 1948, she married Marion D. Byrd, building forty-six years of family and memories before his death on Nov. 12, 1994. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Byrd enjoyed painting and crocheting.
Survivors include six children, Regina Humphrey & husband Tommy of Golden, OK, Tim Byrd & wife Chloe of Deport, Ewell Byrd & wife Paulette of Pattonville, Gail Robison & husband Charles of Deport, Avis Dilday & husband Chuck of Reno and Denise St. John & husband William of Blossom, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, two brothers, Lee Dowling & wife Lona of OK and Ray Dowling of Protection KS, one sister, Cheryl Rollins of Ashland, KS along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Eric St. John, Thomas Humphrey, Marion Humphrey, Adam Humphrey, Matthew Humphrey, Michael Byrd, Creighton Byrd, Leighton Byrd, Nathan Byrd and Charles Robison.

Dorothy Mae (Coward) Addy, 84, of Powderly passed away Tuesday September 23, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday Sept. 26 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow at Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 7-8 PM.
Dorothy was born February 23, 1930 in Lamar County a daughter of Johel Brock and Mary Lou Crawford Coward. She married Gene Edward Addy on Feb. 4, 1950 in Arkansas. She was employed by Sears and also was a caregiver in later years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, great grandson Samuel Mark Addy; 5 Brothers and 5 Sisters.
She is survived by children Andy Addy, Mark Addy and wife Kelly, Sue Gray, and Thea Cherry, Sondra Cook; 13 Grandchildren Angie Simmons, Rodney Looper, Anthony Addy, Christopher Addy, Jason Askue, Casey Cook, Eric Addy, Zach Looper, Travis Gray, Melissa Addy McCoin, Alex Addy, Derek Crawford, JJ Crawford; and 18 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Addy, Eric Addy, Rodney Looper, Zach Looper, Travis Gray, Christopher Addy, Jason Askue, and Alex Addy. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Cook, Derek Crawford and JJ Crawford.

Coy J. Henry, 85, of Paris passed away Tuesday September 23, 2014 at his home. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services 1:00 p.m. Friday at Springhill cemetery with Rev. David Gillean officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 7-8 p.m.
Coy was born December 24, 1928 in Lamar County a son of Jesse Frank and Carrie Baker Henry. He married Evelyn Bernice McMillon on Feb. 13, 1971 in Paris. He was employed by the Railroad and was a member of Tudor Street Gospel Mission.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn; parents; a son Randy Henry and a grandson David Ray Larsen.
He is survived by children Debbie and Ronnie Williams of Ft. Worth, Jackie McMikel of Granby, MO., Ronnie Henry of Irving; Sue Vaden of Allen, Buddy Pryor and Ray Pryor both of Paris; Grandchildren Carla Jones, Ronnie Lynn Williams, April Williams, Jerry Lynn Pryor, Amanda Barnett, Eddie Ray Pryor, Coy Nathan Pryor, Misty Vaden, Christy Gwinn, Cumi Williams, Courtney Pryor and David Pryor; numerous Great Grandchildren; a brother John Glen Henry and sister Bettie Henry Jarrett and numerous nieces and nephews.

William Eugene Hale, Jr., 58, of Paris passed away Tuesday September 27, 2014 at Parkland Hospital of Dallas. Cremation arrangements are being made by Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday Sept. 27, 2014 at Connections Methodist Church.
He was born August 11, 1956 in Tucson, Arizona a son of William Eugene Hale, Sr. and Patricia Parkhurst Hale. He was married to Valerie Butts. He was a bus driver, driving truck and city busses. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Valerie Hale; children Le Anne Beal, Benjamin Dygert; grandchildren Gabriel Beal, Daryll Beal; brothers Richard Hale and wife Robbi, James Hale; sisters Judy and Ila and nieces Amanda Whitter and Mary Fry.
