Paris Lakes Development is proud to announce that Paris Lakes Medical Center is to start construction this week, according to a company press release on Wednesday.

The land has been acquired and HWH will be starting construction as soon as possible for its new development project on the southeast side of Loop 286.  The initial 40 acres of a 100 acre site is currently being cleared and infrastructure improvements are being made ready for a mixed medical and retail development.

Phase 1 of this development includes a new medical surgical hospital, medical office buildings, a hotel/conference center, restaurants and retail shops. The construction project is estimated to take two years with some buildings ready in as soon as 9 months.

“This is an exciting day for us at PLMC and the physicians and citizens of our community”, said Ron Parker, Principal and Founder of Paris Lakes Development.  “Today we begin a project that will greatly enhance the healthcare services here in the Northeast Texas and Southern Oklahoma communities.  This project is vital to the long term economic well being of our communities and medical practices in our area.  This development will provide high quality patient focused services in a new state-of-the-art facility with supporting medical services.”

“I am a firm believer that the standard of healthcare in our area will be raised with this new development”, said Tom Dunning, Executive Director of Medical Operations.  “I have been working very closely with the physicians in Paris and surrounding communities to develop a hospital system that not only meets the doctors’ needs but the needs of our communities.”

“I want the stigma of having to go to Dallas for good medical care to be a thing of the past,” Dunning continued. “We are working closely with our hospital operation partners to bring those amenities and services to you.”

The overall development design and finish integrity was provided by Ron Parker.  The new hospital was designed by HKS Architects of Fort Worth, Texas and construction management by Cliff Creek Builders of Detroit, Texas.  With a mix of buildings and businesses within the Paris Lakes Development, it will be a destination spot.

Wednesday’s press release went on to say, “It is a place where you could take the family shopping or out to lunch or dinner instead of sitting in a hospital waiting room for hours while remaining on campus. A hotel conference center has been incorporated in the development for both out-of-town and citizens of the Paris area. This is for our patient family’s convenience and local conferences.”

The second phase of the development will include a retirement community, senior living center, memory center, assisted living center and a 9-hole lighted golf course.

If you have any questions please contact Tom Dunning at 903-674-2047. The Paris Lakes Development offices are at 2675 N.E. Loop 286. Feel free to stop by.
