David C. Kennedy, 59, of Paris, passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at Dubuis Hospital
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled memorial services for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22nd, at The Cowboy Church with Duane Hamil officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
David was born April 15, 1955, in Galdewater. Following graduation from Gilmer High School he began working as a machinist. He worked at T & K Machine for 25 years. He then began working at L3 in Greenville in 2008, where he remained until his health failed. At L3 he was a member of the E Club and was past president of the K-9 Club.
He was a member of The Cowboy Church. David enjoyed hunting and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn, and a brother, Charles Richard Kennedy.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Walker Kennedy, whom he married on Sept. 18, 1981, building thirty-three years of memories, his father, Ralph Kennedy & wife Martha of East Mountain, sisters, Evelyn Pisano & husband Sal of Longview, Sharon Winer of Phoenix, AZ and Pam Williamson of Indiana, son, Jeff Kennedy of Hallsville, three grandsons, Lane, Ty and Landry Kennedy, brothers-in-law, Johnny Walker & wife Debbie of Blossom, Phillip Walker & wife Del of Paris, Paul Walker & wife Denette of Sylvan and Shane Walker & wife Amy of Mt. Pleasant, his furry friends, Muffin, Spencer, Snickers and Poco, his horse, Joker, along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Honorary casket bearers will be: Johnny Walker, Phillip Walker, Paul Walker, Shane Walker, Sal Pisano, Terry Gibbons and Rickey Harrell.
