Last Day of Early Voting is Today

Vote_Here_sign_slider sizeThe last day of early voting is today, October 31st at the Court House Annex (old Post Office) until 6 p.m. this evening. The last eleven days of early voting is completed with the following results as of the end of voting on October 30th:

  • 3,862 or 12.98% have voted in Person.
  • 1,022 or 3.43% have voted by Mail-In Ballot.
  • A total of 4,884 have voted at a 16.41 percent of the 29,760 Registered Voters in Lamar County.

The two precinct level contested races are for Constable Precinct One Travis Rhodes vs Mandy Garner and Commissioner Precinct Two Lonnie Layton vs David Niblett, the results to date are:

    • Precinct’s 1B, 1C, 1E, 1F, 1G, 1H, & 1I have cast a total of 309 votes in the Constable’s race.
    • Precinct 2 Commissioner’s race has had 598 total votes cast so far.

The General Election will be held next Tuesday November 4th at local polling locations from 7a.m. to 7 p.m.
