The board of the Paris Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) meets today at 4pm at the Community Room of the Depot, located at 1125 Bonham Street.
The board will be discussing and possibly taking action on Defenbaugh & Associates response documents received from attorney Jeff Moore on October 31st. Invoices from Mr. Moore and his law firm are also up for discussion.
Board member Rebecca Clifford will present on adding to the PEDC policy manual a non-solicitation clause for PEDC personnel.
Other items on the agenda of interest are reviewing a Statement of Qualifications from local attorneys to assist with legal issues; the possibility of having the PEDC website revised/updated; debating whether they will participate in Lamar County Days in Austin next April; looking at a proposed Plan of Work for the coming year; and possibly take action on the PEDC reimbursing the City of Paris for PEDC staff being employees with benefits.
